My favorite poets so far...
Richard Wright, Billy Collins, Mary Oliver, Jack Prelutsky (yes I know he's a Children's poet).

Haiku: This Other World by Richard Wright is by far one all time favorite book of poetry. And if you haven't figured from my activity here at a2k that haiku is not only one my favorite forms of poetry but favorite things of all time? Welcome to a2k. Nice to meet you.

This thread can be used for people to ask for poetry books and collections that they may want to dive eyes first.

Can anyone recommend to me... say a good starter volume of E.E. Cummings poetry?

@tsarstepan,
Marriage of Heaven and Hell by William Blake. Make sure you get an illustrated copy.

I recommend The Spice Box of Earth by Leonard Cohen. Published before he made his first record album.
