I think that the museum when it was in NYC was only a temporary pop up if memory serves me correctly. And a particularly expensive one (ticket wise) at that.

Best kitchen appliance I ever bought was my Cuisinart Ice Cream (and yogurt and sorbet) maker, from Amazon. I don't have many appliances in the first place, so the ice cream machine is "special".
