Should I date him?

We were in a friends with benefits relationship for one year. But I practically dumped him, I said that I only would be his friend with benefits, nothing else. He really loved me and I "broke his heart". A year later I moved to an apartment own by his family so I'm his neighbor from downstairs. When I moved here, he pleaded for another chance and I said no. But now, I kind of like him but only his personality. Some of it, he is it my ideal type at all starting from looks and part of his persona. I sometimes want to invite him to watch a movie or just hang out but I don't know how to ask him. I would love to be his friend with benefits again.
