Errorplace and Cd drive not reading discs.

Reply Tue 2 Nov, 2004 08:27 pm
Hello, I have run spy bot and ad-aware many times, but i still get the errorplace.com redirection. It has been months now, so i switched over to mozilla. I would like to finally fix the problem though. Also, my cd drive isnt functioning correctly. I am not sure if it is due to some sort of spyware.

Here is my hijack this log:

I believe 180ax.exe and cashback.exe are both spyware items....

If you really want to know how to fix these things then the best advice I can give to you is to use google. If you're familiar with your computer you'll undoubtedly recognize some of the things in the HJT log. For anything you aren't familiar with, google the file name. You're almost sure to find things about each item and get some sort of an idea what it does. I'd imagine that by doing that most of the problems can be taken care of most of the time. Always be sure to back things up before making changes. If you're really unsure of what you're doing, just remove 1 item at a time. That way if something gets messed up that shouldn't be, you can go back easily.

Yeah i have already deleted these files. But it hasnt done much. I dont get errorplace anymore. But my system takes about 30 mins to reboot, and i have a fairly new computer. My cd drive still doesnt reconize blank discs.
