This thought helped me to hold on when things looked bleak for many months and to keep going when my social skills and dating life was just plain bad.

It helped me to keep going when things looked like they would never pick up for my own small online business.

Why? Because I have found it to be true.

When things seemed to be at the lowest point something always happened. Often because being at that low point forced me to change something in how I did things.

But maybe also because life seems to have some kind of balance if I just keep going. If I keep taking action instead of giving up and doing nothing then something good always happens.

Seeing this repeat itself year after year strengthened my belief in taking action and to keep going even on rough days or weeks.

And it brings some comfort even when things look pretty dark.

@JACK255,
It's pretty good.

I'd like it better if , like in a speech, you tell em what your going to tell em, then you tell em, then you tell em what you told em.

So start and end with words equivalent to "persevere".

@ekename,
I didn't get it. Is it correct grammatically?

"social skills" and "dating life" are more than one thing, so "was" should be "were".

On rough days, and in rough weeks/months/years. You could use "during rough days or weeks".

Some people allege that you should not start a sentence with a conjunction such as 'and. However, this is a stylistic preference rather than a grammatical ‘rule’. If your teachers or your organization are inflexible about this issue, then you should respect their opinion, but ultimately, it’s just a point of view and you’re not being ungrammatical. If you want to defend your position, you can say that it’s particularly useful to start a sentence with these conjunctions if you’re aiming to create a dramatic or forceful effect.

@JACK255,
When things seem to be at their lowest point something often happens forcing me to change how I do things and affording some kind of balance; whereupon if I just keep going, then something else good (almost?) always happens

Repetition of this experience year after year has further strengthened my belief in taking action no matter what, and to keep going even during rough times, even then bringing some comfort.
