Which one is correct?
Since I had a grounding in Persian literature or since I had grounding in Persian literature?

Asp to me anyhow they're both okay

There's a very very find diff which if I attempted to describe I'd be attacked en masse by the TAT

A grounding is an introduction or basic training. The noun is countable.

grounding
noun
basic training or instruction in a subject.
"every child needs a good grounding in science and technology"
