I've been chatting with a woman I met on Tinder once a day for four days. She hasn’t responded to a message I sent her five hours ago asking her if she has plans for Tuesday. How bad should I feel for hoping that maybe she’s dead rather than ignoring me?

I said "8" because you are obviously stressed by the date. You're putting yourself out there and maybe you're a little insecure. 2 of your feel bad score has been omitted based on your stress level.
Ham slicing accident is not nearly as bad as a serious car accident. How bad can it be? Couple of fingertips now flat instead of rounded. Only warrants a 5 on feel bad scale.

Her puppy? You're moving off the feel bad scale altogether. Puppies die all the time, they're a dime a dozen. (Some people don't even like puppies). I know I'm sick to death of cute puppy videos.
