We met on a trip in Berlin and we were talking about anything and everything, so it smoothly went to sex talks and him talking about moving to my country and making an effort to be together. We live in different countries, on different continents.
All those talks were initiated by him, not that I didn't like it, but I was aware these things are not a fairytale and they dont happen just like that. So, one day he blocked me everywhere not mentioning anything. A month after, I reached out to him and he said that it became impossible for him to move especially after he had 2 failed attempts, and that he made a mistake and regret it. What he also said is that he would like to make an effort to rebuild the relationship with me. It was something I didn't expect, because I expected to hear that he just stopped liking me or just that thing became too complicated, which would be bad to hear but it is life. Rebuilding the relationship surprised me and kind of scared me cause I know it won't be easy. However, we talked 5 days ago and he haven't spoken to me since.

If I understand you correctly, you met while you were on a visit to Germany, you had sex and then you went back home. He promised to move to your country to be with you, but didn't actually do that. You have been in contact sporadically since.
If that's right, you don't have a relationship with this man, what you have is a sex partner. I'm sure he would like to have sex with you again, if you ever visit Germany again, or if he visits your country.

We did not have sex there, we just hanged out and when he went back home he said he liked me. What we did was talking during the day (good morning, good night things) and we never actually said we are in a relationship. He said he would like to move here, and he tried as he said but it was never an official thing or a promise that we need to eventually be together. From my point of you, it was a connection among two people.

Really difficult to have a relationship with these kinds of conditions.
Find a nice person to "click" with who lives near you. That seems to be what happened to you and this guy. You can find the same thing with a person you can see every day.
