I put an "easter egg" on this site. The first of many. Let's see who finds it.

Yeah, Monger, I'll give you a hint. It wasn't where I expected it to be.

Easter egg hunt in November? Is it an easter egg or the fried eggey thingy to mark featured interactions?

From www.eeggs.com: What is an "Easter Egg"? - The term "Easter Egg", as we use it here, means any amusing tidbit that creators hid in their creations. They could be in computer software, movies, music, art, books, or even your watch. There are thousands of them, and they can be quite entertaining, if you know where to look.

From The New Hackers Dictionary: Easter egg. (from the custom of the Easter Egg hunt observed in the U.S. and many parts of Europe) 1. A message hidden in the object code of a program as a joke, intended to be found by persons disassembling or browsing the code. 2. A message, graphic, or sound effect emitted by a program in response to some undocumented set of commands or keystrokes, intended as a joke or to display program credits.

There's also another discussion of computer "Easter eggs" on this site here: Wacky MS Word trick & other "Easter Eggs"

Hope this helps, Joanne
