Is the word "testimony" used in relation to Christianity only?

A Christian gives a testimony about their faith. Can a Buddhist give testimony about their faith?

Thanks.

A testimony is a proof or evidence provided that something is based on truth. Testimonies related to Christianity are the stories told by believers like me about what God has done for us. The proofs are written in the bible in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. I'm not only aware about the other religions

Thanks, Punkey.

I'm aware that people can testify in church. Hence, they can give a testimony in church. But can a Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, etc give a testimony? (Is 'testimony' used exclusively in relation to a Christian?)

No - anyone can make a testimony on any subject. Usually it is done to share a story about a transformation one had, from one behavior to another.

Of course, people can share their story in your temple. Smile
