Not only the twins but also Mary is keen on attending the concert.

Is the sentence OK? If not, why please?

Thanks.

You don't need to post these 'please help' begging messages. I have told you twice now. Next time I see one I shall not answer the question. As "Mary" is singular, we need to use a singular verb, so the correct verb is "is". (I expect that is the question you wanted answered?)

@centrox,
Thanks, centrox.

The three original posts were sent at about 5.25. The three 'Please help' posts were sent almost simultaneously at about 9,25 (about 3 1/2 hours after the original posts were sent out.) So when you told me on the post to wait for others to reply, the other two 'Please help' posts were already in. Hence it would appear that I wrote 'Please help' even after your advice, which is not the case.

If I had anticipated such a misunderstanding to occur, I would have informed you to expect the other 'Please help' posts. Despite that, my apologies for the misunderstanding.

The misunderstanding is entirely resolved, and you need worry about it no more. Go in peace with my blessing.

There are so many ways to make your statement.

Not only the twins , but Mary is also keen on attending the concert.

Both the twins and Mary are keen on attending the concert.

Mary, along with the twins, is keen on attending . . . .
