The song, "the Scientist" is the song that my husband and I have dedicated to each other.
What is your favorite coldplay song, and what do you think the lyrics to The Scientist mean?
I feel it is about losing someone, a loved one. I always think he is singing about a female, but it can be anyone I guess..
My favorite part is "tell me you love me, come back and haunt me..."

funny you should mention that song. Coldplay is an oldtime favourite of mine and the Scientist came up in a recent email conversation. A mathematician who decided to fall in love with me saw it as a man seeking to solve a woman as a mathematical equation, a theorem. i liked it very much, but not the mathematician, sadly. still love Coldplay though.
