Subjects such as music appreciation, speech and drama, literature, etc.
as well as periods for students to collaborate and interact to develop their creativity will be introduced to all schools.
Can "such as" and "etc." be used together?
Thanks.
@tanguatlay,
I wouldn't recommend it. I'd pull that etc out , especially since you've used it in the middle of a sentence.
It would be red-pencilled if I found it in an assignment.

In my opinion, "such as" and "etc." cannot be used together.
It is bad style to follow a list introduced by 'such as' or 'for example' by 'etc', when the list cannot be logically continued by the reader.
