I just received a message from Yahoo that my account is among those that have been breached by hackers. I am not too worried about it since I have no usable information other than my email contacts. I have changed my password as they recommended. Seems there were two breaches, one in September and another in November. I just thought I'd bring this up for others who got the same message and are wondering if it is a hoax.

I received it and took it as legitimate.
A year or so, I got what looked like a message from Yahoo wanting me to sign in for some reason or other. I quickly realized I had been phished and they then had my yahoo password. I changed my password and tried to contact yahoo, but they made the reporting process too complicated for me.
