What type of spider was this?

My snowbirding neighbor just killed a spider in Yucatan, Mexico. According to his housekeeper, it's not poisonous, but we'd like to know exactly what type of spider it was. Photo here: https://s27.postimg.org/mg1we4mr7/spider.jpg

Thanks.

From what it looks like; what with the pedipalps and blunt abdomen, among other things; it's not a spider. It's an Amblypygi, i.e. whip spider, tailless whip scorpion.

@Clueless-in-Mexico,
Looks more like a Whip Scorpion to me.

@rosborne979,
rosborne979, isn't "tailless whip scorpion" (I see no tail) and "whip spider" the same thing?

Apparently Tailless Whip Scorpions and Whip Scorpions are substantially different (different Orders). Who knew?
