You meet a deadline if the task is completed at the deadline time, you beat the deadline if it is completed before that time.

Boss: your deadline for completing the report is 9:00 AM Friday. Can you meet that?

Contrex: I can beat it. I will have it ready by 9:00 AM on Thursday.

I notice that "your" is in lower case. Shouldn't it be capitalised?

In British English, the first letter after the colon is only capitalized if it’s a proper noun or an acronym; in American English, the convention depends on the format but it’s frequently capitalized.
