What are challenges faced by small business to market their business online?

Time. Money. Expertise. These are the standard challenges a small business faces in every single area, BTW.

I agree, and will also add that sufficient money to survive the initial phase of the business until it gets regular customers is the key to survival. Many go bankrupt because they didn't plan with enough money up front to survive the slow beginning period of the business.
