I went to that restaurant three times since we last met.

I have gone to the restaurant three times since we last met.

Are the sentences correct? Thanks.

To me, they are acceptable.

I'd rather reformat the words as: Since we last met, I have gone to the/that restaurant three times.

When writing the above choose between the and that.
