Have all people in Earth's history been computers?

Are we all computers? Is anyone in Denmark a computer, or anyone in Dublin?

@Thomas33,
No. Different people have different limitations on what can be remembered.
Some people are multi-lingual who can speak five languages (or more) fluently. I can barely speak two. I still need to look up words in a dictionary when people use $1,000 words where a .05c word will suffice.

@Thomas33,
We, the birds, the pets, and even the rocks, we all do computing...aah what an amazing revelation go figure. Others have call it "entropy" which is just a fancy word for one kind of "computing" that happens a lot...

The words in your posts look like English and ... yet don't quite add up. This is a "me" problem, I imagine.

@Ragman,
Hey Ragman, don't you know rocks give up eat and compute radiation just the same as we do at a slower pace ??? Wink

@Fil Albuquerque,
I feel like a computer some days. It takes me a hell of a long time to "boot up", and my spell check often needs some WD-40.

Do computers enjoy scrapple and eggs?
Can a computer sear a steak?

if you tickle them do they laugh?
If you cut them do they bleed?
could they tell a wood chip from a potato chip

I need a haircut

I thought scrapple was a fizzy apple drink. It's not how I like my eggs.

@izzythepush,
heres everything you need to know about scrapple. HINT: Its an acquired taste.
I like it fried crisply and I eat it slathered with molasses (Blackstrap molasses), usually served accompanied by two eggs fried easy -over.

Its got a cholesterol count in the low millions per serving.

@Fil Albuquerque,
Computers are everything, in my perception. But then suppose a casino is a program, and all programs are equal, isn't that contradicted if not all people are meant to experience being in a casino?

@farmerman,
I'm still none the wiser. I assume it's not a fizzy drink, but other than knowing it's fried with treacle and served with eggs I'm still at a loss.

I'm not trying to start an argument, I genuinely have no idea what it is. If you tell me, I'll let you know what toad in the hole is.

@cicerone imposter,
I think that all life forms are formula, but what confuses me is why formula as people's identity isn't the standard reference:
Why are terms like conservative and liberal the standard reference, if the reason of either term is uniformity?

Uniformity stops people from making formula the standard reference, and yet formula is that very action!

@farmerman,
Yes to all of those depending on the complexity of the calculator...we are not special snowflakes.

@Thomas33,
We are all formula, because we are the product of our environment that made us who we are. Genes and culture also has much influence on who we become/became.

@Thomas33,
Maybe humans cannot be computers. I suspect some insects may be, although they might have limited memory space.

we have this willingness to make ourselves a special case when there is nothing special about us....the freaking biosphere is far more complex then we will ever be.
People want to narrow down the definition of what is a computer when in fact nothing fundamental changes except the level of complexity from x to y machines/systems...I have now come to a point on having serious problems with the very distiction between living and non living systems. One thing I am sure about they all are computing processes.

while all programs compute information the information is not all the same nor does it all fit the same purposes.
