Does "Bulls drop their third straight in blowout beating from the Pacers" mean "The Pacers wins overwhelming victories in a row over Bulls who loses for third time"?

Thanks in anticipation

Context:

Bulls drop their third straight in blowout beating from the Pacers

As they coasted to a 3-0 start, drawing national attention as one of the league's early surprises, the Bulls reminded anyone listening they hadn't faced any adversity yet.

Adversity is as much a part of any NBA season as winter. It's just how teams handle it that often defines success.

It means the Chicago Bulls have lost their last 3 games, the last of which was to the Indiana Pacers by a wide margin. Since the basketball season is just beginning, the first two losses were to other teams besides the Pacers. Only in the playoffs do two NBA teams play each other 3 games in a row.

@Blickers,
Does "blowout beating" mean "sound/violent beating"?

@oristarA,
Yes. In basketball, that usually means getting beat by about 20 points or more, or having a lead of about 20 points until very late in the game and then letting the blowout victim make it a little closer. Example, the Pacers might have been up by 22 points for most of the fourth quarter, then in the last 3 minutes they let the Chicago Bulls come back to within 12 points or so.

@oristarA,
Try, "The Pacers win an overwhelming victory over the Bulls who, with this one, have lost their last three games."
