Leonardo DiCaprio's next movie role has been revealed. Deadline reports today that the Oscar winner will play music pioneer Sam Phillips, who helped launch the careers of legends like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
The untitled movie is based on the Peter Guralnick book Sam Phillips: The Man Who Invented Rock 'N' Roll. Paramount Pictures, which acquired the rights to the book, is producing the movie alongside DiCaprio's own Appian Way banner. Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones is also a producer.
I can see that record label now. It was either a Jerry Lee Lewis or Elvis record I had.

I still have a pile of Sun Records, some bought as far back as 1958.
