It's been over 14 years now since Roger and I starting roaming the halls here, waiting for the gang to arrive.

There was no Facebook, no Twitter .

There was Yahoo Answers and Answerbag.

So glad Robert has given us this place to wander around in.

Ivory was the traditional 14th anniversary gift.

We'll go with ... instead

My very first post on another's thread in these forums brought a note of condemnation from somebody who had not liked me on Abuzz. I have a brain freeze for the moment. He was a conservative and he no longer posts here. I may recall later. It was a thread of pro and con invasion of Iraq by G W Bush and company and my presence riled the thread before I even expressed an opinion. So I made one post that sternly condemned the probability of invasion and then let all in on the discussion know I would butt out so they could carry on undisturbed. That thread generated a number of continuation threads and thousands of replies. But I only posted once more at the beginning of perhaps thread three. Just a joke post, not an opinion. I never followed any of the posting the whole time. His name may have been perception, now I think on it.
