The "Books By Mail" thread reminded me of something I've thought would be cool for a while. I received something from an Abuzzer once with a handwritten postcard. It was so cool to see her handwriting! Almost like seeing a photo or hearing a voice. I thought it would be cool to have a handwriting thread... like, instead of TYPING your response here, handwrite it directly on the computer or scan a piece of paper, and post the image here.
I don't have my scanner yet so I'd have to do it directly on the computer which never works that well. But I keep thinking of and forgetting this idea and so wanted to get it down. Will add when I can.
how can we write on the comp? in paint? then youwont see my hand writing... you'll see my mouse skills and my mouse writing sucks
Yeah I know I just tried and man it was awful!! More like write on paper and then scan, I think.
or you could write on paper.
put paper in envelope (thats like a paper packet for paper with writing)
write on the outside where the person lives who you wish to receive your paper packet with the written paper inside
then...er
then ....I dont know for sure
I think you have to pay someone to take it
But if you really wanted to share your hand writing, you could take your packet with the writing on the outside and the inside, yourself, and discuss it with your (soon to be) new friend.
oh yea lets do that get a snail mail thread going
No one would be able to see what I write... I have the worse hand writing ever. I blame it on Miss Niss (yeah thats a real name) my first grade teacher who yelled at me for coloring in circles instead of straight lines. After that I was scared to try anything my own way.
I also blame my second grade teacher Miss Cruise who taught me cursive. She was an evil teacher who liked to crush small childrens dreams with her oppressive iron fist.
(That's basically the books by mail thing... snail mail plus a book anyway.)
I did a sample and uploaded it to Raven's Realm but it's .cwk and that doesn't seem to work... will fiddle...
(Post already JP!)
do you want to do the book by mail thing (but with handwriting?)

Well, my response is on littlek's site, soz - you can't post images from msn anymore, I think.
This is a great idea sozobe and is easy for anyone who has Tablet PC. Otherwise, it looks like scanning or taking a picture of your handwriting will suffice.

Alright... alright. But you'll have to wait untill I get home to use my scanner.
Perhaps I'll go search through my old elementary school homework assignments to find something to post.
I would go for that Steve. Sometimes, I can't read it myself, but it often jogs my memory. If I remember what I wrote, it doesn't really need to be read, at least for notes to myself.
Actually, I have great handwriting. I've even been paid to use it in ads & logos. I'd be happy to post it here, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that.

Oh and it was big! 1212KB! No wonder I couldn't upload it here. I couldn't see it, just a little blue box -- could you see it?
You can post images from MSN, you just have to be sure to cut off after the "jpg" or "gif" or whatever.
Oh now this is a fun idea. I'll be watching and I'll try to get a photo of my handwriting later....

I have simple penmanship. I spend so much time typing on the PC, that I guess I'm just out of practice.
There we go!!
<applause!>
That's great! It goes with what I know of your personality. I love the little smiley face. Hee hee! (I made one too on my ill-fated computer-based sample.)
