First of all by definition they're not moderators. Journalists and reporters by definition are supposed to be impartial first of all by definition they're not my traders. Journalist in reporters by definition I supposed to be impartial and have no axe to grind. They're not supposed to harangue The Debaters and then gloat about it afterwards in an email. What they're supposed to do is pose the questions and keep the participants from going over time limits...that's it. Anything more and they do a disservice to the public who need to make their own assessment in order to cast an vote.
You would have gone crazy if the tables had been turned.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Oh, what a horrible world we live in when a bully can't just shout down his opponent and monopolize the floor....

Stop that whining. Your man Romney stepped in it neck deep. Please note the extreme emphasis Romney put on the idea that Obama did not call the Benghazi attacks an act of terror for 2 weeks. Romney did this on his own:
Now let's take a look at what Obama said the very next day after the Benghazi attacks. Check out the 56 second mark to get to the crux of the matter.
It's one thing to talk about generalities that can be argued either way, but when Romney committed himself completely to claiming that Obama did not say what Obama clearly did say the day after the Benghazi attacks, then the moderator did the right thing and corrected him.
Romney needed to stop listening to Talk Radio talking points and start paying attention to facts. That's why he got embarrassed.
