My grandmother gave me her couches she purchased in 2006 she says. She didn't clean it herself at all just always called cleaners. The tags are not on the chair, bench/ottoman, or sofa. The stamp is there though. It says the date is 2007 and the # is LF-82-P from Lind. My grandma has no idea how to clean it. The name, just that she bought it at danias furniture store. I called them and they have not carried Lind furniture for years. I called Lind and the guy who has worked there for 26 years says my serial number is too old to look up and they change leather and fabric types too much to find out or remember what the fabric was in 2006. I know it's a fabric bug not what kind. He sayid maybe polyester. I think micro suede, grandma thinks microfiber. I used rubbing alcohol worked pretty well except bigger darker stains did not come out. I used milk detergent which cleaned it but seemed to maybe look lighter in color? But maybe not im paranoid that's what will happen. I have rued to research the fabric from Lind furniture in 2007 for 2 dats now and I don't have a cleaning vide or type of fabric. Pls help! It's a contemporary style, buttoned back attached seal covers, arms firm, medium, seat and back.regular thread and chrome legs. It's a light green and I have the bench, chair, and sofa. Thank you for any advice
Can you call the cleaners and ask if they have her still on file? Maybe they will tell you what the fabric is and how they cleaned it.
Probably best to bite the bullet and get it professionally cleaned anyway.
