Should 'This also is true' be changed to 'This is also true'?

If your parents have not embraced XYZ yet, you should try to convert them and lead them to embrace the religion. This also is true for those who have helped you or people with whom you have any past relations.

Should 'This also is true' be changed to 'This is also true'?

It could be, but there is nothing wrong with "This also is true."

Not necessarily. They both work, albeit one is more "casual" than the other.
