My wife cheated on me, she just confessed. The one she slept with thinks we were separated, I want closure. Supposedly it happened once. Should I contact her mistress to see if it was only the one time? I need closure. I'm willing to work with my wife and forgive it was a one time thing. Otherwise I'm done..

To what end?
You hear it was one time. So you now don't know if there was anyone else, and you rifle through your wife's things again.
You hear it was twice. Or forty times. Or the last time was this morning. And you scream and accuse.
Cut out the middle man. You don't need to contact the mistress. You're already all done.
