I thought the user name Drefsab would (a) be cool for a forum I might join (b) never occur to anyone else. But I did a quick Google. There must be a lot of Harry Turtledove fans out there.
I like most of Turtledove's stuff, but can't recall Drefsab for the life of me.

In the Worldwar series, he was a member of the ("Lizard") Race, an intelligence officer working directly for Fleetlord Atvar. He became a ginger addict but was effective in infiltrating ginger gangs within the Race's military, and was an effective intelligence agent. He was shot & killed by Otto Skorzeny in 1943 at Split in Croatia.
