Find someone, a friend/relative to keep them until you get a new place. Pay them for the food, litter and their time.

I agree that if possible, she should find someone to take the cats until she gets another place. But it might not be that simple. If she's being evicted she might not have money to pay someone to take care of her cats. And everyone doesn't have friends or even close acquaintances. And some people's circumstances might make it very hard finding a new place to live. Ever been homeless? I have.

I do understand all that snood, but to have euthanizing your pets as the first solution is not optimal

Even a shelter is better than outright killing them.

Wouldn't it be horribe if the OP did that, then a very short time later found a place to live.

I'm not that clear on what the OP is even asking. Does he want to know the best way to kill a cat? Or asking if anyone can think of an alternative?

There are no kill shelters, and the cats could go there. That way, the owner could go back when settled in and if they are still there, get them back.

Since the OP didn't say why the eviction, I don't want to assume why. Although I did of course think about the money situation up front.

Re friends, we also don't know that the OP does have some. Has the OP asked anyone? We don't know.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but a pet is a responsibilty. Responsibly for its very life.

Or, this could just be another troll, trying to get a rise out of people saying they're going to kill their cats.
