Another Wittgenstein about the nature of life

This floors me because I always thought it but couldn't discuss it except with close friends. People seem to feel attacked by the thought !!

Ludwig Wittgenstein once said to a friend, "I am not a religious man: but I cannot help seeing every problem from a religious point of view."

So why do people equate the religious point of view with religion. Always seemed to me that the point of view MUST precede religion.
