@Kleinmk5,
If logical thinking were common place, religion and god would have disappeared long ago.

@Kleinmk5,
One of the tasks of psychology is to account for 'logical thinking'. Piaget was one who understood this and although some of his findings are disputed, his metalogical 'genetic epistemology' was a major breakthrough in the study of cognition. This transcendence of traditional logic is also a feature of the 'embodiment theoreists' who reject the traditional logic of computers as a valid model for cognitive behavior. (ref: Merleau-Ponty, Rosch et al).
And as regards 'probabilistic thinking', the concept of 'fuzzy ssts' (Kosko) provides a useful introduction to the dynamic fluidity of set membership.

@Kleinmk5,
NB. If this question is prompted by your 'bi-polar' issue, then the most fruitful reference above for you is probably Merleau-Ponty, who studied the holistic interaction of neurological and social factors in behavior.

@saab,
Psychologists and psychiatrists may be able to identify what they classify as mental illness, but they concentrate only on what they deem as antisocial behavior. It's all normal human behavior. Otherwise, it wouldn't exist.

@cicerone imposter,
Do you really believe that psychologists and psychatrists only cencentrate on antisocial behavior?
If that is the case you know very little about psychology and what goes on between a psychologist and the client.
To have to do with antisocial behavior is just a small part.
