Singer Christina Grimme Fatally Shot Outside Concert

Based on several news stories:

22 year old singer Christina Grimme, YouTube star and one-time contestant on the TV show "The Voice" was fatally shot by an unknown gunman late Friday night while signing autographs after performing in a concert in Orlando, Fla. Grimmie had performed with the band Before You Exit at The Plaza Live.

Grimme's brother tackled the gunman who then shot himself during the struggle. No motive for the shooting is known at this time.

Grimmie, a New Jersey native, finished third during season six of NBC's "The Voice" in 2014, competing on the team of Maroon 5 star Adam Levine. She first came to prominence as a teenager for her renditions of popular songs, amassing a huge following on YouTube.
