Want to know:
Width of each space.
Answer given with problem:
12L - x - na / n + 1 in.
Explain how answer was calculated.
Apparently some did not take me seriously. "Do my work for me" is the same as "Do my homework" in my opinion. I did not understand how the answer was obtained.
I am done with this site.
@Randy Dandy,

I don't think this is an answer. Where did 12 come from?

The answer is
[12L - x - na] /[ n + 1] inches.
There are 12 inches in a foot.
There's no point typing to Randy Dandy, he's "done with this site".
