Finally , after 10 years following my illness and it's dramatically ruinous effect on my finances I've opened a TD Ameritrade account (as well as savings) I am admittedly woefully ignorant about stock trading but i want to learn about day trading and trading in general. Any recommendations on a course I can get online basically stock marlet for Dummires? I really don't get the process or the vocabulary. I don't want to bother with one of these pay for "courses" sponsored by one broker or another because they're just trying to unload their stocks on me probably. I am interested in an academic learning course. any suggestions? all help appreciated.
@blueveinedthrobber,
I'd go with the suggestions offered on here...

Investopedia is not associated with any particular brokerage company - just kinda like a education source on financial markets.
They suggest online trading academy.
@blueveinedthrobber,
Please (please, please, please) do not day trade. You get better odds at a casino.
@blueveinedthrobber,
If you are going to do day trading (which I don't recommend) I recommend you use a broker with lower fees than TD Ameritrade. Robinhood is app-only (no website) but has completely free trades.
@Linkat,
I should have stated also I don't recommend day trading unless you can live without the money. You do need to really know your stuff or be very lucky.
