My birthdate is july 31. i received my first check on September22. It was for one month. What happened to the other three weeks???
You have to be 62 for an entire month before benefits started. So, you would receive your first SS check in September.

I did receive a check in September( the third week). It was for one month. My question is where is the money for the three weeks of September???

The payment is for the whole month. They don't do fractions.
