Religion and Fear

I would posit that this is the root of religion, but for any actual formation of a religion to occur, someone had to make up the answers, and convince others that they were correct. This also explains why we have thousands of religions offering different answers for the same questions.

We also have thousands of scientists offering different answers for the same question, so, what's unusual about that. I've been marred to the one woman for sixty years and we still don't agree on everything, but we don't break apart because of our differences.
