How do students without internet service get through school?

I assume the router comes with the internet service. Also, a lot of families have access to tablets and smart phones that could be used on the wifi broadband internet.

As the links above discuss, smart phones (and basic tablets) just aren't enough.

Maybe it's different in the US, but routers aren't standard issue here - modems, yes. routers, no.

My daughter also uses the Internet to do homework. The problem is that she also uses the Internet to NOT do homework.

Sometimes I wonder whether whether it is a net plus or not.

and computer sticks which are gum pack sized computers that turns your television into a desktop computer.

The ones without internet and we good ears should have higher grades.

The last few days Mr. B has been visiting each school in our area. He's had confirmation from several schools that lower income students are not being reached with this service.

"Elitism" is a word he's heard on more than one occasion.
