According to the Genesis account, withholding the fruit from the tree of life was a part of gods punishment for Adam, and he assigned cherubs to guard the entrance for this reason
Quote:Now in order that he may not put his hand out and take fruit also from the tree of life+ and eat and live forever
So could Adam have eaten from the tree of life and lived forever had he not disobeyed God?
This discussion is intended whether theoretical or literal to discuss the account and not to get distracted by discussion over the validity of scripture, as that discussion would warrant a thread of its own. Any thoughts are appreciated
