Hello everyone. I'm thinking about applying to a Drama School in UK next year, but I already read that in 99% of the drama schools the classes take time from 8 to 5, or something like that. I am not from UK, and everything seems a little expensive there, so I would have to work some part-time job while I'm studying, but with this long classes in the school, do you think I would be able to work and study? Considering that we will have homework to do after school and etc. I was thinking about taking just some classes about acting and doing a part-time job, but I kinda think that the drama school could teach me more, much more. So, what do you think? What should I do, is there any way to manage part-time job with studying in drama school?
Thank you all!
@criting,
The best people to ask about this are at the school itself.
You would not be the first person, ever, who wanted to attend classes and also work. They are best equipped to tell you if it's feasible, whether it would be better for you to go part-time, and even if you qualify for scholarships which would lower the cost of school or internships that would give you credit.
