Who's familiar with the story: the "singer" shouts to the kid: Son, run for your life!

I read it probably from one of Dawkins' books (The God Delusion?): A "singer" (I don't remember this exactly, perhaps a scientist) shouts to a boy when he saw a pastor talking to him:"Son, run for your life!" Because the "singer" knows very well the potential spiritual harm a religion may inflict on its believers.

I failed to search out the original version of the story by Dawkins (or others). Would you like to give me a hand?
