Despite a governor, how can we help syrian refugees

I'm at the low end of helping, given my own stuff, but I think my area could take a bunch of people. I guess what I need to do is talk to neighbors and see if any one of them will take me to one of the area community meetings.

I don't drive at night, thus have never been to meetings here. Back in Venice, I could just walk across the street. Quite the engaged person some time ago, I've been quiet too long.


Albuquerque was shown on some map as having some OK, but I didn't save the link. I need to check that out.
