Hmm...yes, I suppose I am a brat. I had an English teacher back in high school who I highly respected, and who gave me really good grades. She did have this teddy bear sitting on the desk constantly, and one day she showed up late, and I suggested to my brat friends that we hang it from the screen used to show us great NFB films, and occasionally, wonderful Shakespeare interperetations as well. Smile She took it in good humour, and I think there is a picture of the event in an old yearbook.

There once was a Sphinx from Nantucket,
whose nose was so big you could pluck it.
The sphinx got upset,
and said "Whazzup, Set?
The chaos you cause be da shizznit!"

Here's a little ditty I used to recite to the retards...oops, mentally challenged (heh, just kidding, so to speak, but this just popped into my head):

Hi! I queue,
mmm,
the caf food looks good,
mind your P
it disturbs the Q's
and A's.

Heh! Heh! You should have been a teacher. I found that double limerick, but it's a bit risque. Don't know if I should post it or not.

Have to wait and see what the five o'clock cup o tea does for me.

Later Brat of the great state of TO!

I should never have been a teacher. Laughing That ditty would have scarred kids for life, or left me without a job.

Something tells me, Cav, that those scars would have been simply a reminder of your fallibility.

Okay...so I'm feeling a bit bold tonight:

Rugger verse. Tune: Eton Boating Song.
The sexual life of the camel
Is not what everyone thinks
At the height of the mating season
He tries to roger the Sphinx
But the Sphinx's genital orifice
Is blocked by the sands of the Nile
Which accounts for the hump on the camel
And the Sphinx's inscrutable smile!
(Unknown genius)

Known genius...

Nice poem. I take issue with my phallibility however. Laughing

Not a poem, brat, a double limerick.

Cav, have you noticed a division among all who post here? I wonder if it reflects the entire globe.

Just looking at the thread posted by the fox. I remember that you and I and Lightwizard talked about The Turn of the Screw. I always wanted to discuss those implications.

Bo is off somewhere looking for Titan..Wenchy has some problem with her mouth. ehBeth is ticked about C.I. ...Setanta doesn't say much, but knows all.

And Letty just sits here in limbo.

Certainly don't want to miss Jesus, Mary, and DeVinci... Rolling Eyes

I'm listening to Aretha Franklin's "Oh Mary Don't You Weep" right now, from the "Amazing Grace" album. I was always bored by Henry James, but I do remember The Turn of The Screw, but today, despite it's incredible ponderousness, I prefer "Portrait of a Woman."

Oh, Mary don't you weep don't you moan,
Oh, Mary don't you weep don't you moan,
Pharoah's army got drow-DED,

Oh, Mary don't you weep.

I know all the negro spirituals, Cav..

HOWEVER, I must fix some very haute cuisine tonight called Maca-burger....later, TO.

Well, good day, Osso. I loved that bit of poetry fluff. I once read somewhere that a person could be psychoanalyzed by looking at the way he paints. You must be one together person.

I have strong feelings here, and McG and I are actually connecting on some level. Laughing However, a proper teacher's perspective is needed.

My personal opinion, just so no mods get involved here, is that it's related to c.i.'s banning, but I can't speak for dys personally.

O-K Letty, I tried. I typically stay away from politics because usually it gets very heated and most people posting there are extremely biased. Whatever you say no matter how logical gets overlooked because of bias and many times turns to name-calling. Now I am in deep do-do. I decide to try logic because I am a logical person. I am also very moderate so I usually can see both sides, but cannot stand closed-minded people. This is going to be very difficult for me.
