I just received an email saying that I may be entitled to a payment from a class action lawsuit, is this a real case that i could receive money from or is this a waste of my time, it's saying it is a payment of up to 9.25 million, but the attorneys will be able to be paid up to $3,467,000. Feedback, back ground and history of this would be very appreciated
Its real, all the pertinent info is accessible via the email and the links, snailmail addressesses and phone numbers contained therein, in such an action it is customary for the plaintif's attorneys to receive 1/3 of the award amount adjudicated, and its up to you whether its worth your effort to determine whether you qualify and what avenue to pursue. Typically, Class Members will receive at best a few dollars each, but if you don't follow through, you of course will receive nothing in any event.
I recieved the same thing, but I won't waste my time for a few bucks.
From the Synthroid lawsuit, I received about $27.
As far as I know, Paypal has done nothing to me!!!
I became bored with the guff - sounded rather nonsensical.
Anyway, Australians are probably not considered a class....
To read more about this, have a lokk here:

I assumed it was a sneaky viral email.... hnh.
Australians are NOT excluded from receiving reimbursement.
I did get a sneaky viral email with a false paypal i.d. on it once, so it is wise to question; glad this one wasn't.
Yeah, I'd heard about that one, Osso.
thanks
'preciate the help! figured I won't waste my time; pay pal never really did me any harm that i picked up, shouldn't try to claim money that i don't deserve.
Thanks,
joe
My thoughts exactly. It did get me to go into my Paypal and print up my history, but all seems to be in order.
