what does it mean?
What exactly
is a "neverending topic?"
It doesn't seem to be a "topic" at all, just a couple of the same people making insider jokes.
Sounds to me like a bunch of high schoolers on summer break.
The Never Ending Topic started on another board. Someone posted they were the Master Topic Killer. And then the post to that topic started to try to be the last to post to the topic.
The Administrator of the board cut the topic off after 7,000 posts. They stated their system could not handle such length.
We then started the Never Ending Part II which was cut off after about 1,000 post.
The topic was friends posting about everthing and nothing. Jokes, stories, what was going on at work and more,
It's about nothing in particular.
Just friendly small talk.

Fair enough for you, but there are many posters on A2K who have racked up posts by actually discussing something worthwhile.
It seems to me that you are only trying to "outdo" each other by saying nothing. You are using this message board as a chat room.
But that's only my opinion, and you can certainly do whatever you want.
I was just turned on to A2K by a friend, and I'm amazed by all the in-depth conversations.
There are so many highly intellegent "seasoned" posters who
seem to "spread their wisdom" around on a variety of topics in different forums.
This kind of topic (albeit not a real topic at all) just seems kind of frivolous.
But, whatever floats your boat.

I personally make it a point never to make sense on any topic! Yellow monkey dishwasher!

My mistake, the monkey was purple!
I thought the dishwasher was yellow... but it was used to wash monkeys.
Now I have more questions....
Why was the monkey purple? Was it a bad dye job? Was it intentional? Maybe a mutation? Inquiring minds need to know!
The dishwasher was yellow! The monkey was purple because he got chucked in with a pair of non-colour fast purple pythons.
You gotta watch those pythons! They get into everything! LOL
