I got a beautiful pilots leather jacket at a tag sale. I paid 5 $ . It cpst me another 75 to have a new lining made AND 30 $ TO CLEAN IT ND SPIF IT UP.
I now hve broke-in flight jacket with anew thinsulate and silk lining.
Its my favorite fall jacket.

My favourite dressy coat is black cashmere, made in Italy, that I found at a thrift. $10. $15 at the dry cleaner. About $3 in silk fabric remnant to make a fancy lining for the lower sleeves.
