Why Human Beings Are Called the Lord of Creation?

I've never heard that expression before, ever.

I can think of two reasons.

1) We kind of run the place here on Earth (which is part of the creation). We change the course of rivers, we change mountains, we make species extinct or decide they should survive and we change the climate. That makes us the boss.

2) We do create things, from sonnets to skyscrapers to airplanes.
