The island is the only place on Earth that the planet’s most venomous snake, the Bothrops Insularis (golden lancehead viper,) is known to inhabit. The Brazilian government has banned all of its citizens or tourists from visiting Snake Island in an attempt to protect them, as several risk-takers have made the journey to the island in the past only to meet their death.....
