@Amandascott,
Send them to their rooms without any dinner. Oh wait, we already do that.

How about reviewing and revising the method for authorization to immigrate so there isn't so much incentive to do it without authorization?

Get rid of the greedy scum bags who profit off the labor of illegal immigrants--they're the ones who get together with politicians and make sure that no effective steps are taken to deal with the situation.

I recommend dropping them in the Sonoran Desert with no food or water.

@Amandascott,
Build a wall, and then put everyone who is here illegally at the back of the line, force them to register. If they don't want to register as illegal immigrants, then as they are caught, they are shipped back home and then denied the option of ever becoming a US citizen. We cut the cost of becoming a US citizen by a 1/4 and put a limit of 10 years to become a citizen. In order to become a citizen, you must pass a written test in ENGLISH, and not your native language.

@Baldimo,
Uh-huh . . . how much is that wall going to cost, especially considering how contractors routinely rob the government? When they start coming in by sea, are you going to send the navy after them?

Your silly plan will never get past the politicians who get huge contributions from those who employ illegal labor. Oh, i forgot . . . for the teabagger crowd, rich men are never wrong.

The operations was a success, but the patient died.

You don't hire union labor for the job. That's one way of the wall costing less money. As to what the total cost will be, will vary on how they build the wall and the systems they use to monitor it. Regardless of what it costs, it will cost less then it does to provide social services for the illegal immigrants who come here and use our services. It would also cut down on jail costs for those illegal immigrants who commit crimes.

We can't fix a broken system if we don't control the entry. How many times have some of these illegals been deported and they keep coming back. So a wall before we can fix the laws.
