Uh, no, I would not kill osmoene I've never met somewhere in the world for any amount of money. Resigned from the Navy over not wanting to kill people and that was a lot harder than pushing a button. Though interestingly, it involved pushing buttons.

It's not a test or threat to teh human race. Rather it involves how we marginalize and minimize the lives of people we don't know. Plus, if you push the button, now the box goes to someone else. And they're given the same choice. I've always assumed the person who dies isn't random, but rather the last person who pushed the button. Of course they only realize that if they push the button themselves so it's something a gotcha moment.
