@christinelynn1952,
Either make rabbit stew or put chicken wire around them.

@Ragman,
Around the strawberries, not around the rabbits ; )

That is, unless you want a cagefull of pet rabbits.

@Ragman,
get some gauzy curtain material and drape it over the berries. Rabbits dont like it. (They can figure out chicken wire.

@Ragman,
you put up chicken wire, rabbits burrow UNDER it in less than a day.
Keeping rabbit recipes available is good business. We live in a very rural area so I can blow rabbits away without fear of hitting a neighbors house. I use a 410 pistol for rabbit "harvesting"

But the gauzy curtain material just lys on the strawberries and if a rabbit tries to get beneath it, it just darpes into the hole and that scares the bunny.

Rabbits love Hosta too. Theyd rather eat hosta than carrots. My wife will not allow me to shoot rabbits in the hosta because the shot tears up the hosta laves.

sadly.

But rabbit is very lean meat and wild rabbit has a particularly fine flavor

@farmerman,
All kidding aside, even a city boy like me likes the taste of rabbit. I used to visit a friends farm and see what those pesky varmints did to his hosta garden. He had several varieties of hostas.

I found that using those whirly-gig spinners (foil and bring colors) have kept the rabbits out of my flower garden his year.
